The 25 year old singer/songwriter seems to slowly be creeping his way towards the top with a rework of ‘Life Round Here’ which was featured on his latest 2013 album ‘Overgrown’.
On this re-release he collaborates with the likes of Chance the Rapper, who recently became popular since the release of his mix tapes earlier this year. Both artists are well established amongst the sub-culture surrounding rap and electronic music alike and have gained almost a quarter of a million views in the past two days since the music video was posted.
Having seen the growth from Blake since ‘Limit To Your Love’ went viral in 2010 it seems that he has stayed with the same eerie tone his fans have known and loved since he started producing in 2009. Although, with this being said, some could say that the consistency of Blake’s music doesn’t correlate well with the views and interaction from his fans. Some of Blake’s video’s struggle to even hit the half million mark, which in today’s music industry is barely recognised with saturated mainstream music and auto tuned talent’s such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna who dominate YouTube and iTunes.
Since the release of ‘Overgrown’ in 2013, with his alternative approach to music wowing critics and opening the eyes of music lovers all across the world, there are high hopes for Blake this year with his tour and in the last two days – Life Round Here.
