Fashion month is over and all we have left is runaway photos and empty wallets (that is, if you’re rich enough to afford all the pretty clothes).
However, if you keep dreaming about fashion but can’t afford much (aka me), you can still follow the trends without spending a fortune.
I recommend going into your local Primark, NewLook, Topshop, River Island and have a look around. If you are familiar with the trends, you can always find a similar (and cheap) alternative.
Today I am coming to you with some of my personal favourites from my favourite website: ASOS. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m afraid you’ve been living under a rock. So, without further ado, here’s a list of some of the trends that stole my heart (and my money):
I am so in love with velvet it’s unreal! From boots to dressed, it’s pretty much all I want to wear. It’s quite versatile so you can pretty much wear it anywhere – uni, nights out, fancy dinner party. What I like the most about velvet is that it usually includes other trends (i.e. chelsea boots, bomber jackets, etc.), so you’re pretty much set with just one item.
- Leopard Print
To me, this trend is very iconic and always reminds me of Alexa Chung. As much as I love it, though, I doubt I would wear it with something that is not black. Whatever you own in a leopard print, that’s gonna be a statement piece. It needs attention, not colour!
- Embroidered Pieces
Have you seen how pretty this trend is? Have you? Because I’m all for it! It just looks so cool and makes you look like you’ve tried even when you haven’t (trust me, I’ve tried it!)
