Spooky Halloween recipes

It’s that time of the year again when everyone gets excited, the snobbish guy in your course dresses up according to his soul’s true colours and Tim Burton’s movies are on TV all the time. Yes, it’s Halloween I’m talking about!

By now you probably have everything figured out already: which party(ies) to hit, the decorations are all out and the costume has been carefully planned so that it’s intriguing but not too mainstream – you don’t want to end up being Harley Quinn n.156 (but if you do, it’s totally okay!)

Remember that, in the end, Halloween’s ultimate goal is to eat as many candies as you possibly can. So why not show off a bit with some spooky yet delicious ideas?

  1. Oreo Mummies : All you need are some Oreos – duh- and melted white chocolate. Dip the Oreos in the chocolate, add on a couple of edible eyes and decorate it with what’s left of the chocolate. Easy peasy!

  2. Halloween Brownies : basically just make your normal brownies and cover it with orange sprinkles. Nothing screams Halloween more than orange decorations (lame but very effective).

  3. Zombies fingers:  you’ll need 280 g of all-purpose flour, 1 egg, 100 g of butter, 100 g of sugar and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix it all up and knead it well. Once it’s ready, add some green food colouring, then divide the dough in small balls and shape them as fingers. Add a roasted almond on top of each finger and bake everything at 180° for around 20 min. I know, a bit time consuming, but it’s totally worth it.
