The day America grabbed politics ‘by the pussy’

What a sad, sad day for humanity.

If 11 year old me could see all this, I am pretty sure she would be in her room crying and feeling sorry for the world.
As a child, America has always been my dream. Shiny lives, mixed cultures, great opportunities. It was the land where all dreams could come true. Little did I know that today, a country I’ve always loved for being so forward, would disappoint me so much and crush all my hopes and dreams.

Today, millions of dreams came true – and they were all the wrong ones.

In a country where world history is merely an educational option, where memorizing the names of the Presidents is more relevant than studying what happened during World War II, I am not in shock people decided to vote for Donald Trump.

He promoted greatness, forgetting that noting is great when there is so much hate surrounding us.
He promoted immigration control, forgetting that most people are not actually Americans.
He promoted ignorance because most of his followers are, in fact, ignorant.

He’s a business man taking over the world. He has no experience in politics, military or anything else that could be relevant to his role. He’s the typical privileged white man who thinks he owns the world and everyone else in it.
Donald Trump is a sad individual who knows how to play his cards. He, like many others before, will do nothing but damage his country.

I have no respect for him, his views or what he stands for. Anyone who doesn’t respect women, immigrants, minorities, different races, the LGBTQ community or anyone with disabilities does not deserve to be respected.

During my year in America, I’ve met so many nice and open minded people. I lived in a family where kindness was a priority and where the only thing that mattered was you, nothing else. But I am afraid to say that all that kindness and love was overcome by the amount of ignorance, racism and violence I saw and experienced.

This is not a victory America, this is the beginning of the end. If we let people like Donald Trump tell us what is right and what is wrong, where will we end up?
Please, America, keep fighting for what you believe in, fight for equality and the inclusion of all people and all races. Fight back by loving each other, don’t let violence win.

To everyone who voted for Trump: you did it, you managed to ruin the lives on millions of people.
Now please, please, please go and buy a bloody history book. Despite your enormous knowledge about American presidents, the world is much older than you. Read before typing words you don’t understand. Read and learn what happened to people who voted for someone like Trump in the past.

Mussolini promised a lot of great things too, you know? But I think anyone with some knowledge knows how that ended up.

So hey, America, meet your new misogynistic, racist, closed minded and ignorant President. It’s yours for the next four years and we’re not even a little jealous.

And by the way, dear America, this is not what we meant when we said Orange is the new Black.
